Right behind Decke r was the tr io of Johnny Campbell, Jeff Capt and Jamie Campbell. Johnny Campbell came back from the mountains in the lead followed by Decker, Dana Van Stee , who was leading the 12Sec class, Jamie Campbell, Steve Hengeveld, second 125, and Oakley Lehman. The Campbell brothers were running 1-2 on the next lap through the scoring sectio n, with Johnny leading, while Jamie was in a battle with Van Stee for second place. Hengeveld and Braasch moved themselves into fourth and fifth overall, and were running second and third in the 125cc class. In the end, this race belonged to Johnny Campbell. He was able to slow down and conserve his energy, then pull away when he saw his brother and Van Stee getting close. "I was told I had a big lead, and then I came up on Capt on the ridge and stopped to see if he was okay and he said his bike broke, so I just kep t cruising," said Johnny Campbell. "Then my brother and Van Stee came on, so I just cruised away from them. " Van Stee was able to get by Jamie Campbell by doing the double jump, then outd ragged Jamie to the next corner . Shortly thereafter, Jamie Campbell and Van Stee came into the pits for fuel and when they cam e back out, it w as Jamie back in second with Van Stee right on his tail. Braasch made his way around Hengeveld for fourth. Van Stee moved back into second before the white flag ca me out wi th Braasch also getting around Jamie Campbell. The checke red flew for Johnny Campbell, who took first in the Fou r-Stroke division, followed by first 125cc Van Stee. After the Vin tage and Sidecar race, the final event for the weekend was the 250/5OOcc combined race. Johnny Cam pbell, once again, showed his power and pulled th e holeshot ahead of 2S0ccmounted Lehman, Hengeveld, Jeff Case and Staten. Ondas was near the front battling with Jamie CampbelL . Position changes were few and far between thr ough out the two- hour race, with Ondas eventually getting by Jamie Cam pbell for third. The checkered flag dropped for Johnny Campbell, who took the ove rall and 500cc-elass win. On das registered second when Staten broke his chain on the last lap and Jamie Campbell tOOK third.
