F&S Suzuki's Davey Yezek was working his way u p from a mid pack start, trying to make so me time on the leaders but havin g to contend with riders like Char- . lie Duna way, Brad Woolsey andA tkins, who was in the fifth position . Yezek's persiste nce would eventually get him by Atkins, Dun aw ay and Woolsey, but he w ou ld adva nce n o fu rt he r. Bu ehl walked aw ay with the win followed by Del-loop, Jones and Gaddis. "It's di fferent," said F&SSuzu ki rider Todd DeH oop. "It makes you go a little squirrelly before the wh oops, so it slow s you down a bit and throws a new aspect into the racing." FRIDA Y Buehl would took charge early in the 125cc main eve nt with Gaddis in close pursu it ahea d of DeH oop, And y Atkins, and Jon es, all o f wh om stayed within striking d istance of the leaders. Buehl a nd Gad di s swapped th e lead w hile Jones worked his way past Atkins. Gaddi s was h angin g w ith Buehl u ntil he crashed in the horseshoe tum, allowi ng DeHoop and Jones to slip aro und . " I jus t go t cross-rutted th ere in the tum and fell down," Gad dis said . "I lost a couple of places but still got back up to fourth ." Buehl had now pulled a command ing lea d and wa s letting DeHoop and ing to clea r the last big one," DeH oop said. "( I) just didn't ge t enough drive and wen t into the face and over the hand lebars ." Gadd is and most of the pack escaped to the inside, bu t Buehl op ted to leave knob b y track s d o wn th e s id e o f DeHoop's riderless RM. "I d id n' t know w ho it w as," Buehl said . "I coul dn't d o anythi ng, so I just pulled a wheelie and we nt over his bike. I tried to pick someplace I wouldn't get caught u p in it, bu t there wasn't mu ch I could do ."
