The Mike Kidd-prom oted seri es featured all th e usual talent, including a great effort by some of the area pros like Missouri' s Dou g Stone. Stone's secon d-place finish in Fri d ay'S 125 cc main was a bi g h it among the fans. A FRIDAY NIGHT In the 125cc main, Kaw asaki of Mis- souri / Answer / FMF/ Scott-backed Stone jumped ou t to an early lead ahead of Greg Ran d and Gad di s. Two laps into the race, Gaddis relegated Stone to seco nd, wh il e Team Gr een ' s Anthonv Bowy er hung on to th ird, just one step ahead of a raging battle involving Rand, Bue hl and Tr ey O we ns . Eventually, Buehl and Owens ta ngled in a corner and went down, taking out Rand in the p rocess . F&S Su zu ki rider Todd DeHoop was righ t there to take advantage of the m ish a p . Late in the moto De Hoop mo ved to th ird, as Bo w yer d rop ped back. Antunez wen t on to take the win followed by Stone, DeH oop, Bueh l and Shawn Mo r g a n . Bo w ye r s end ed up sixth. Buehl pulled out all the stops ea rly in the 250cc main. Coming ou t of turn one, Bueh l already had a full tw o-bike lead o ve r Te xa n Br ad W o o sl e y, Bowyer, Stone, DeHoop and Gad d is. Woosley's run for the front wa s shortlived before suffering a first lap get-o ff. It took th ree laps for Gadd is to s ta rt moving up. After getting by DeH oop, Gadd is s t u ffe d Stone ex iting th e wh oops. Fou r laps lat er Gad d is wen t u n d er Bowyer but never wa s abl e to get close to Buehl, who went on to take the w in followed by Gaddis, Del-loop, Stone and Bowyer.
