Thanks Againl By Fred Windum ROSAMOND, CA, NOV. 19 Walt Dorsch took charge of the pavement in the WSMC Formula TT cl~ss at Willow Springs [nternational Raceway's 2.S·mile road course and came away with the class win. The dirt track machines that make up Formula 'IT were run in conjunction with the pavement-only machines. Dorsch, riding Ron Wood's twin-cam dirt track racer, led two of the slicks-and-fairing crowd, followed by Elliott I,verson, Jim Kesler and Geramy Rackley for the first lap before the streamlining adv, antage of the road racers allowed them to slip by down the front straight. Dorsch continued to tail them, even showing them a wheel in the tight section at the top of the track, but the speed advantage of the streamlining eventually let them pull away. Kesler .and Iverson followed Dorsch a few seconds back, waging a war of their own. Iverson started the race in the draft of the three leaders, but had to watch as the more experienced riders slowly pulled away. Kesler ran up behind at the start of the second lap and put a move on Iverson, stuffing his way inside turJ) three to take over second. Half a lap later, with everson in his shadow, he slipped wide in tum nine and ran off into the dirt, losing the drive to get down the long front straight. Making up time, Kesler pulled the same move on lverson in AnAp_ Concessioneire of TICKETS, AMA AMATEUR NATIONAL ENTRIES AND RACEWAY SPONSOR CONTINGENCY. FOR MORE INFORMATION CALL 909·880·3090 95
