Stahlman, Hawthorne rip Triple RMotocross By Butch Rhine NASHVILLE, IL, OCT. 29 Super weather and great, loamy track conditions paved the way for the Honda-mounted Mike Stahlman to leave the 125cc A riders in awe dUT· ing motocross action at Triple R Raceway. Stahlman was not challenged in either 12Sec A moto. The battle for second place, however, was hotly contested between Tim Hawthorne and Chad Rhine. Hawthorne prevailed in the end. The 2S0cc A class was a different story, though, as Stahlman won the first moto followed by Hawthorne and Chad Rhine. The second moto had a different twist as Stahlman pulled off the track on the white-flag lap, allowing Hawthorne to gain the lead. Stahlman took up the chase but was unable to get around the Honda-mounted Hawthorne. Hawthorne's win gave him the overall victory, followed by Stahlman and Rhine. Results 125 A:. 1.
