SUGAR GROVE. OH. NOV. 4
Jason Frecker went undefeated in a total of four
motos to sweep the 125cc A and Schoolboy
classes at the Central Ohio dub cowse.
Temperatures hovered around the 4O-deg,ee
mark as an occasi.onal snowflake landed at this
chilly race, yet all competitors seemed to
war~
up in the heat of the battle. Frecker thrust hJS
Honda of Troy/Pro-Actioll/CRl25 to the fwnt
at the start of the mota-one ill 125cc A-class
action' but Tommy Collier doubled by and took
off in the lead. The Yamaha's of jimmy Eickel
and Chris Berry battled over thi,d as the lead
duo escaped out front.
Frecker followed Collier's lines for a while
and then surprised Collier by sneaking inside
Collier over the massive spectator double-jump
to steal first Frecker never again surrendered as
he screamed his Honda through !he next six laps
to take the checkered flag. Collier followed in
second, Eickel in third, Berry in fourth, and
Mike Blair in fifth. Frecker is a master at
holeshots, and he used mota two to demonstrate
his starting procedure, jamming into the lead
and roosting out of th'e tight first tum. Collier
was having none of it as he quickly doubled pa t
Frecker to take the lead by comer three. Collier
was on the serious fuel as he skimmed through
the whoops, but a crucial error slammed him
into the tires at the start of the tricky dirty half-
dozen section, allowing Frecker, Berry, and
Eickel to charge by. Collier ,emounted in fourth
ahead of Blair and sixth-placed Adam johnson,
and he would take off in an impressive charge to
catch the leaders. But Frecker had established a
very quick and smooth pace, and no one was
able to catch him. Frecker led second-placed
Berry. Collier and Eickel across the finish.
Frecker would have to deal with Berry once
again in the Schoolboy class. but Freckex's e"or-
free style earned him two moto wins. In 30+
action, Richard Robinson powered his Robinson
Racing/Fast Boys Dirt Toys CR250 to a dominating win. mastering both motos in high-flying
fashion.
