By Stefano Spadavechia MILAN, ITALY, SEPT. 16-17 ith the relief of having a hardfought regular season behind the riders, European supercrosses can sometimes be a bit anticlimactic, but this time all of the elements for a successful event were in place. Riders like AMA Supercross Champion Jeremy McGrath, Former 125cc MX National Champion Jeff Emig, 125cc MX World Champion Alex Puzar, 125cc Western Regional Supercross Champion Damon Huffman, Larry Ward, Damon Bradshaw, Jimmy Button, Alessio Chiodt Ryan Hughes, Tallon Vohland and Bader Manneh would do battle on a completely transformed track - more spectacular thanks to a John Sa vi tski design. Organized by the Saporiti family, the Fast Cross utilizes preliminary heat races and semifinals to qualify riders into the main event - fairly routine as far as overseas supercrosses go. But on Saturday, riders got the opportunity to take part in a unique race format known as the "Fast Super Team."
