er lap until Vaneperen decided it was time to take
charge and get past Warner and Roth on lap four.
By the second-to-Iast lap, Ezerins decided to
show his front wheel to Jerominski io the
whoops, but jerominski wanted it badly, and he
held the District 16 points leader off by a bike
length at the checkers for the moto win followed
by Ezerins, Robb DeGroot, Roth, Warner, Ken
Masch and Vaneperen.
In the second and decisive moto, Jerominski
grabbed the lead by the end of lap one followed
closely by Vaneperen. Ezerins suffered a midpack start but wasted no time doubling past
seven rid.ers, including Masch, the DeGroots,
and Dan Heind I.
Ezerins was over 10 seconds ~d the leaders, but he cut off two seconds per lap and eventually got past Vaneperen to capture second sev·
eral bike lengths behind jerominski. Jerominski,
knowing what kind of a challenge was behind
him, poured on the gas to hold off Ezerins for
the overall win. Behind Ezerins were Vaneperen,
jason Warner and Andy Bowman.
