round without beating his time. Just to show that his opening ride wasn't a fluke, Wheelwright took a second ride himself, turning in an even faster 3.433-second run for the title. In other action, Nicholas Summers rode his ltaljet 15 feet for a win in the Automatic class. Nationa.l Champion Anthony DeHart became Indiana State Champion also, as he claimed the Mini~class win in a convincing fashion with a 4.428-second ride. Tate Pearson took second in 4.748 seconds on his Iq:80; followed by Jackie Mason in third on his Honda with a 4.812-secand run. Matt Weaver finished fourth with a 5.142-ride, followed by Cody Mason in fifth with a 5.287~second run on his Yamaha. Mel Piontek came in from Green Bay, Wisconsin, to nab the 125cc title with a 4.358-second run on his Honda. Eric Jordan turned a 4.453second ride for second followed by Mark Schroeder who turned 4.689 seconds for third. 1995 National Champ Mark Goodman delivered a 4.780-second ride on his KX125 for fourth, with Travis SchIemme taking fifth in 4.874 seconds on his Honda.
