Lindsay lands Summit
Point Road Race
SCott Nicoson, on his way to a pair of
victories In the 125cc motoa In Denmark,
Wlaconsln.
By Kyle B. SChalow
SUMMIT POINT, WV, AUG, s.;;
William Lindsay was the rider to beat on the
slick surface at Summit Point Raceway as he
bagged the C Superstock class,
The trio of Darryl Saylor, Timothy Bemisderfer and Lindsay left the rest of the field in the C
Superstock Expert class, Saylor piloted his
Yamaha ahead of Bemisderfer, Lindsay waited
for a mistake and his shot at the number-one
position as he lurked a bike length away in third
place,
On the last lap, three turns from the finish
line, Saylor hit an oil patch, causing his front
wheel to tuck under and force Bemisderfer off
line, leaving the path wide open for Lindsay to
make the pass and cruise to the finish line for
victory,
"Going into the last lap, I was feeling confident about the third place 1 was holding. Then 1
saw Saylor and Bemisderfer getting loose next to
one another," Lindsay said, "I had a feeling they
were going to crash each other out, so I backed it
off,"
Bemisderfer managed to keep his bike
upright, finishing in second place, Saylor actually recovered in time to finish fourth behind Paul
Youngman. Charles Otis edged his Honda past
Jim Dugan and into fifth place,
. Lindsay went on to finish second behind
Saylor in the B Superstock Expert class. Then in
the C Superbike class, Lindsay beat Saylor to the
finish line for second place this time behind
Bemisderfer,
