Farnsworth finished second, and Mike Bronk
finished third.
When asked about his victory, Templeton
said, "It feels great. I pulled a wheelie and could
have had fast time, but I won the class and that's
what matters. The whole family did great."
Templeton was referring to his sister Cathy,
who took the 250cc class by storm when she
blasted over the hill in only 4.921 seconds. Jesse
O'Connor finished second with a time of 5.176
seconds.
Randy Goulette flew to the top of the hill in
only 4.626 seconds to clinch the 750cc-dass win,
beating out second-place finisher Lloyd Haas.
The decision to restart the entire SOOcc class
turned out to be bad luclc for Mike Wood, who
had cloclced a super-fast time before the rain but
couldn't do better than sixth place after the
restart. Bob Templeton and Greg Thompson had
remarkable rides for second and third place, but
most amazing was the ride of Gary Slater, who
took his CR500 on a wild ride up the sliclc hill,
pulling two wheelies and still posting an unbelievable time of 4.720 seconds.
In 400cc action, Tony Freidhoff blasted over
the hill in only 4.550 seconds to c10clc the weekend's fast time, the fastest run of the 550 rides that
were made up the hill during the two day event.
