Use the offic ial ballot below , and let the AMA know which riders you think will best represent Team USA in 1995. Indicate a maximum of three riders , checking the appropriate box or writing in a name if we've missed your favorite . Vote as often as you like, but each ballot must be mailed separately. " I fell apart here two years ago, so finishing second today isn 't too bad when 1 th ink back. It was raining here at that last race and 1 swear there wasn't this many rocks." " I ' m happy with seco nd today but fir st wo uld've been a lot better," said Andrews. "The competition is so tough out her e now that anybody can win, yet Scott's got three wins, which really puts a bind on all of us . 1 just have to keep on try ing and tak ing eve ry race as it comes." "I got a pretty bad start but after that 1 just kind of settled in," said Conner, w h o was m a k in g hi s fi rs t p odium ap pearan ce of the '95 series . After tha t 1 started thinking that 1 was doing goo d and feeling good, so 1 mig ht as we ll tum it up a little bit. " I had the last place start of the da y with a three-kicker," said Norton, who competes aboard an SCR-backed Yamaha YZl25. "I ended up in second place by the third mile-marker. 1 passed everyone except for Summers, 1 guess. But the n 1 was one of the first ones to th e m udholes a nd 1 found o ne of the biggest spots, so down 1 went." "T here were good lines and th e re we re bad lines everywhe re," sai d Norton , w ho now ho lds down th ird in the standings, a p osit ion equaling h is '94 series finish, "It was really hard to find lines, especially in the sectio ns wh er e we used the same track that the q uads used . " I g ot a little scr e w ed up on the fourth lap after 1 had made it around Cooper and Conner," sa id Norton of the m id race exchange that would s e ttle third ov erall. "I ended up going down about three times in the next mile. 1 was slipping and sliding everywhere. It was one of the toughest tracks we've raced this y ea r - vi r tu a lly ze ro traction in places." Conner and Cooper both repassed Norton and Conner ended up with the third overall position. Norton recovered a spot from Cooper to clinch fourth. . "It wa s a tough tra ck, " refl ected Cooper on the day. " I've go t a limit of a tho usan d crashes and 1 thi nk 1 maxed out on that before 1 had to back it down a little .
