LANDERS HEADS EAST
Rocco Landers will join the world's
fastest junior racers when the
Washington teenager races in the
Red Bull Rookies event in Austria
this weekend. However, thanks to
the resumption of MotoAmerica rac-

he's got more racing miles under
his belt this year than most in the
Rookies Cup. "As of right now just

those tracks quite so many times. It

great to work with, but it's a struggle
going fast," Lewis said. "I didn't
have a great feeling with the rear
and couldn't feel the tire biting into
the tarmac. The torque in second
gear wasn't what we hoped, and
we lost ground on corner exit. The
bike's easy to ride but you have to
charge to go fast. It wasn't an easy
week, for sure." Lewis finished with
eighth- and 11th-place finishes.
LIKE A WIN
Josh Herrin hailed his fourth place
in race two as "better than any
win I've ever got." Herrin, who has
struggled with the often-recalcitrant
