IIIMY OWN RACE:
54 RICHIE ESCALANTE
1-1 SUPERSPORT
"Today, every day, we're feeling bet-
ter," Richie Escalante said. "Today I
have a li le bit more rhythm so I could
pass Brandon [Paasch] in the first
several laps; was really good. I pushed
my rhythm very consistently. I'm really
happy to win with this gap and every
lap the same. Just keep working. The
championship is coming. The next race
is a new track so new mo va on."
45 CAMERON PETERSEN
1-1 STOCK 1000
"Every lap I came by and saw plus-zero
on my board," Cameron Petersen said
a er race two. "At the beginning of the
race, I was like, 'I'm going to put my
head down and see what I can do.' I
might have an opportunity to get away,
and it just didn't happen. These guys
were on my bu the whole race pres-
suring me. I just tried to do everything
I could, just hit my marks and not make
any mistakes. That was a hell of a race.
I enjoy races like that."
The Supersport category,
conversely, is all Kawasaki and
Richie Escalante, as the Mexican
does a Beaubier with seven wins
from eight starts, another double
victory coming his way over
M4 Ecstar Suzuki's Sean Dylan
Kelly and Celtic HSBK Racing
Yamaha's Brandon Paasch in both
encounters. Escalante leads the
points with 195 to Kelly's 145 and
Paasch's 116.
Junior Cup was, once again,
all Rocco Landers (Norton Mo-
torsports/Ninja400R/Dr. Farr/
Wonder CBD Kawasaki) as the
Washington kid took the double
win, Landers also taking the gold
in the single Twins Cup event held
on the Sunday on his SportbikeT-
rackGear.com Suzuki. Landers
leads the Junior Cup with 185
points to Dominic Doyle's 151 and
Samuel Lochoff's 126, although
he's second in the Twins Cup to
Kayleb De Keyrel at 115 (Landers
is second at 102), with Hayden
Schultz third at 62.
