The 26-year-old had cut his road racing tee th by turning laps on the National endurance circuit. Focused on earning a living road racing. Murphy challenged race after race in the Kawasaki contingency paying program classes. He led every lap of the fOUT Kawasaki classes for $500 a win each . Taking convincing wins in the Mid dleweight Supersport and Superbike classes was amazing enough, but outrunning the top 75Occ-mounted riders on his admittedly stock ZX-6, was a thing of beauty. Murphy turned low 1:535 on the 2.5-mile course, making up a . lot of time carving through the technical esses portion on his Tuf Racing/4&6 Cycle/Magic Racing/Dunlop/Mic ron /Motul/Spo rt Cy cle Prod ucts/Factory /PBI-sponsored Kawasaki. · The seemingly indes tructible Mu rp hy finally met his match in th e $750 Unlimited GP event.
