FEB. 26 Michael Kea tin g pocket ed the majority of the money at round three of the CSA Winter Series MX by sweep ing the 125 and 250cc Pro classes at the Clovis Sport cycle Complex. In the first 125cc Pro rnoto, Keating faced s tiff co mpe titio n from " Bear" Hen sley. The . Suzuki-mounted Hen sley grabbed the holeshot and distanoed him self from the rest of the pack . Keati ng gated poorly and wa s forced to work his way through traffic, At the end of lap one, Keating managed to move up to third but trailed Hensley by almos t eight secon ds. On lap two, Keating sliced u nderneath Eric Breden to take over second and set his sights on Hensley, who was now 12 seconds ahead. Keating started closing the gap on the third lap by outbraking Hensley at every com er. "The motor in my '92 RM was no match for h is '95's so I had to stay on the gas longer to catch him." Keating said. On the final lap, Keating mad e his move on Hensley by d riving underneath on a downhill right -hand tum and holding on to the checkers . In the second mot o, Hensle y got ou t first again, but Keating was in close pursuit. The duo pulled awa y from Zach White. who was running a d istant third , and contin ued to run wheel-towheel for four laps, Keating pulled awa y on the final two laps to take the win .
