On lap two, Rusty W Rogers took command, bu t his time at th e top was short lived, as Davis shot by. Georgie Price worked his way in to second over a fadi ng Rogers and Darling. Dave Caml in was th e odd man out at the finish . Even thou gh there were few positi on changes in the last he at, it was a six-man battle for fou r transfer tickets. Rodney Far ris led wire to w ire, but Moreh ead and Chris Evans stayed right on his rear wheel. Dan Butler got a round Steve Beatti e and moved on to the m ain. The top five then remained unchanged as Da vis stormed home wi th the win. Scott Stump, spo rti ng his new number -on e plat e as 883 National Ch ampion, led the 883 ma in into tum one. He was closel y followed by Hart, Donnie Kru sinsk i, and Hacker. At the halfw ay po int, Hacker had moved to third. and his Moroney' s /Spectro teammate Price was a lso o n th e mo ve . On lap fi ve, Hacker charged from third to first. A lap lat er Price took over third, then rode the ou tside aro und Stu m p for seco nd . Hacker was lon g gone, with Price tak ing seco nd ove r Stump, Hart and Kru sinski at the finish. Brent Ar m bruster too k immed iate dominated by Scott Shinn.
