Over 200 jackets were given to top finishers, and good selection of door prizes were pr esen ted by Master of Ce remo nies Bill Holt . Afte r all th e awards were given out, everyone enjoyed da ncing to the mu sic p rov id ed b y Mu sic Mas ter Ente rtainmen t. The district donated half of its 50/SO d raw ing to the family of Ken Wrig ht, a hare scrambles racer killed in a racing accide nt last fall. Jay Hall won the drawin g and donated tha t half to Wright's family as well. Bill Maxey, the AM A Off-Road Co ngress delegate was presen ted the AMA Most Valu able Perso n Award for his 25 years of se rvice on the congress. . As id e fr om receivi ng recognition fo r se rvice, the Distric t 17 officers and their fam ilies also continued to be active in motorcycle racin g a n d w on t h eir s ha re o f co m p e ti tio n awa rds. The Team Gree n/ Pasade na Kawasa ki/ Axobacked Vallejo from Houston, Texas, has been in Califo rnia for the past few months staying with his cousi n, Ped ro Gonza lez, whi le training an d testing with Pro Circuit Vallejo's family is from San Ped ro, a sma ll town ou tsid e of the Monterreyarea.
