The Hill sboro Hond a / Suzu ki-sponsored rider made a shambles of both his O heat races and main events, leading from nearly start to finish in every moto of the 85cc (14-15) class and the 125cc C .division -the biggest class of the day. Due to a lighter than normal turnout of only 200 riders, the only class needing qualifiers to trim dow n the field was the 48-ri de r 125cc g ro u p, Both Len aburg and Jesse Hu rst posted victories, followed by Trevor Deyo and Cary Raino, respecti vel y. The main was whittled dow n to 24 riders. In the final, Lenabu rg pu lled a beadt: tifu l holesho t to lead the field aro und turn one wit h Hurst, Arly Carter, Jim Stein, Deyo and Russ Robbins follow ing, Lenab urg wasted no time in pulling away, just as he had done in his heat, and by th e se co nd lap th er e w as no doub t wh o w ou ld sco re th e win , Lena bu rg cruised to an easy v ictory wi th Hurst settling for the runner-up positio n, Stein, Carter and Deyo rounded ou t the top five overall, The 85cc (14-15) class pro ved mu ch of the same as Lenabu rg easily outdi stanced the field in his heat and did likewise in the main event, posting the only two-class victory of the morning, Jeremy Gray used consis tency, scoring run nerups in the heat and main, while Garhett Carter turned his heat-race bad luck into a th ird -p lace main eve nt p osition, Shawn McDougal and Nuria Tranchina were four th and fifth, In the competitive 125cc B class, most of the top riders in the region showed up read y to do ba ttle , but on ly Rya n Terlecki left unscathed from the heat race and mai n event. Terlecki was forced to fend off the challenges of both Jason Dempsey and Tommy York in the heat race, while only Dempsey was able to ma tch Terl ecki's spe ed in the final, finishing a close ru nner-up . In the 250cc C cl ass, Su san Smi th w it h he ld the adv ances of both Tr av is Mulli ns and Tyler Spencer all moto long in their heat race, But after a strong start in the main, Smith was unable to ca tch a fle ein g Mullins and Jason Parks, who had finished a dism al 19th after problems in his heat race. Smith had all she could handl e ho ld in g off Mik e McCarthey for third , Todd H ind ers o nce agai n pu t in good ride s in the do me, Hinders scored the win in a tightly contested 25+ class over Sha in Stoner and Brett Delay, and then too k th ird p lace behi nd Travis Ross and Tommy York in the 250cc 'B class, Cana dia n Todd Bissen d en was the class of the field in the 51cc Autostock division, whi le Joshua Hill, Skylar Dami and Justin Keeney played knock-downd rag-out for the next three spo ts. f"X There' s no .ne e d to tra ve l h a lf w a y across th e co un try to attend a mot ocross sc h oo l.
