Fr iday n ight ' s 125cc ma in even t began with a red-flagged start as Sha wn Morgan hit the rubber band and was sent to the third row for the restart. On the secon d cha nce , Gaddis g o t the holeshot and took off, while Greg Rand , Grayson Coodman .and Jamie Bennett . battled. Cliff Adoptante slipped around Bennett, butBuehl was skimming across th e whoops at th e speed of light. The Rand /Goodman comb o diced back and forth whil e Buehl picked off Cu rry and Ad optante. Gaddis put his Team Green /Pro Circui t/ Sp li tFire / Axe-backed KX125 on cru ise and continued ou t fron t. As Rand held on to second place, Buehl blew into third taking Goodman through th e whoops. Rand a nd Buehl battled for several laps picking up time on Gaddis as the race progressed past the halfway point. But Buehl wa s too much in the whoop section, taking over Rand's second-pl ace spot throu gh them and closing in on Gaddis' lead. On the last lap , Gaddis and Buehl wer e si de b y si de th rou gh the whoops and banged bar s in the left-hander setting up for th e big infie ld d oub le jump . Buehl got the ad vanta ge in th e turn o n th e insid e whi le Gaddis' front tire washed out. Bu ehl to ok th e le a d a n d Rand s lipped p ast as Gaddis remounted. The start of the 250cc main event was a se a o f G reen as Doug Stone too k holeshot honors closely followed by fellow Team Green ride rs Whitley, Gaddis and Morg an . Whitley skipped across the whoops to take the lead from Stone. Gaddis quickl y fo llowed and mo ved into second. Buehl had to fight from a med iocre start bu t qu ickly passed Bennett, Morgan and Stone to mov e in to th ird . Gadd is trie d several d iff e rent lines in an attempt to get aro und Whit-· ley but had no lu ck fo r seve ral laps. Finall y, Gadd is go t a tittle better drive going int o the trip le/double section and came out in front. Buehl had been creeping up on the lead ers and reached Whitley's rear fender whe n th e sign al was given for two laps rema in ing. On the last lap , Buehl was able to pu ll alongside Whitley in the whoops, bu t the two riders got into heavy lapped traffic. As they ap proached the triple / d ouble section , both riders tripl ed bu t Whitley's line was clear for him to double ou t -safely. Buehl was able to do ub le but had ' to go ou tside and Whitley crossed the line firs t. Gaddis took home win nu mber 19 in the series . Whitley finished second, Buehl was third and Morgan and Goodman completed the top five. Gaddis return ed on Saturday night to hammer to both Pro class wins . a Results FRIDAY NIGHT , 125 EX, 1.
