Robins on finished second in moto three to earn the 2S0cc title . Th e b iggest cla ss o f th e a fternoon was the 80cc Beginne r class, and Michael Hull g ot a nothe r cha n ce to show his stu ff as he dominated the d ay. Hull won th e fir st moto fla g-to-fla g. with Brand on Flippin taking the secondplace honors. In moto two , Flip pin got the early lead, but Hull d ispa tched him on th e sec ond la p and again cru ise d home to victory . The final moto was all Hull as he pulled ou t such a lead tha t he w as ab le to take a tumble and still get going agai n witho ut los ing th e lead, althoug h it did allow Flippin to close up and make things interesting. The next races were for the combined 12Scc N ov ice, Begi nne r a nd Ve terans a lo ng wi th th e lo ne four-stroke. Al though Robert Barnum knew eve ry time he sad dled up that he ha d the fou rst roke class w on, as h e was the only th u m per rider in th e series, th e fa ct didn't prevent him from pulling out all the s tops in his e ffor ts to uphold the honor of four-stroke riders everywhere. Barnum took th e lea d in mot o on e . but w as cha ll e nge d by lone 12Scc Novice Bria n FerrelL Barnum's thumper w as all over the track trying to hold Ferrell at bay, bu t Ferrell eventually got by and p ulled away for the win w ith Barn um hold ing on to second place. Moto two saw Vet Mike Ca rr ta ke the early lead over Barnum and Ferrell, bu t first Barnum and then Ferrell got by . Barn um then took a spill in the tigh t h airpin lead in g to the double jumps, and that allowed Ferrell and Ca rr to get by and pull away. Barnum. got going again but wa s un ab le to catch the lea d pair and had to settle for third overall. In the final rnoto, Barn um again took th e lea d an d Ferrell again caught and pa ssed him to b last home with the win. But behin d Ferrell a grea t fight was taking place as Carr was closing on Barn um, inching ever closer wi th each lap . On the last la p the pair were n eck and nec k ' go ing into the fina l turn, an d Barnum was able to ta ke advantage of a lapped rider to outdrag Carr to the line for seca ond in the closest finish of the day.
