One such product is the fully heated riding suit from Gerbing's Heated Clothing, Inc. Gerbing's is located in Union (near Seattle), Washington, so Gordon Gerbing, the company's founder, is certainly no stranger to cold and wet weather. Gerbing sent a bright-red; one-piece, electric riding suit, including optional electric leather gloves and socks for us to evaluate over the winter months . . All of the Gerbing's suits are constructed of lQO-percent urethane-coated nylon with polyester fiberfill insulation and nylon interlining. The sleeve cuffs are made of soft elastic knit, and there's an adjustable nylon belt with a quickrelease buckle around the waist that allows for a snug fit. Each leg has two full-length zippe rs with Velcro-fastened storm flaps . At the bottom of each leg. there are Velcro-fastened, fold -over straps that cinch the leg-ends around the rider's boots or ankles. The suit also has a wide, adjustable Velcro neck flap. Three large pockets - two front leg pockets and one left breast pocket - provide plenty of storage space for wa llets, keys, etc . And, for added safety, Scotchlite reflective stripes are sewn in across the s houlders and d ow n the sides of the arms. The electric socks and leather gloves that Gerbing's sent along simply plug into the m a in suit. No special wiring harnesses are necessary. The suit's wiring takes only minutes to instalL All you have to do is attach a wire to the motorcycle's battery and let E
