Although pos itions cha nged , all three were still at the head of their respective classes when the checkered flag fell. Mota two saw Spann out front off the start and hold ing the number-one spot for two laps before Had es, took over the lead in the whoo ps. Hodes rode alone to claim the Expert win, while Spann claimed a do uble moto win in the 250cc Ope n class. Hayn es gated behin d Spann on the sta rt until Hades pus hed him back to third position, but first in thel 25cc Intermed iate class.
