Kukla contin ued to p ress, hoping for a bobble that n ev er came. At th e flag, Chinen scored the victory over Warch, Vanderpool a nd Kukla, who were tied on po ints . Tony Alves and Mike McCloud were only a few rid ers back for second while Scott Larson to pped t he Ve tera n Ironma n class a n d was fourth ove ra ll out of 84 entries. Fifth overall and first in th e lronman Spo rts man class was Danny Barber. Levi German teamed with Monty Ownbey for sixth overall and second Expert team, while Ken Johnson was second Ironman Sportsman. Na te Wait teamed with John Mitchell for third in the Sportsman Endurothon class while Myk Clark and Bruce Paulson had the ir usual battle for tops in the Old Timers di vision. David Bentley was the top 12Scc rider in the first race of the day, with Rich Tiago second over Hawk White, while Harry Guidotti was the top Enduro bike entry over Jim McGuinness and Bob Cope. Race two was a one-hour affair for 250cc Sportsman and won by ve tera n Scott Larson.
