Brian Hess d idn't let a loss at the lirst Blue Ridge
Hare Scramble, held ea rlier in the season distract
him from reclaiming the Virginia Chempionshi p
Hare Scrambles Series title once again for the
1994 season after scoring the overall win at the
second Blue Ridge race of the season.
The win gave Hess the points that he needed
to be the champion for the third year in a row.

by Robbie Deel, Daniel Morrison and George
Greer.
On the third lap, Deel mad e a mistake that
took him down and caused him to lose more
than two minutes to Hess. But the battle continued between Morrison and Greer for the thirdplace finish. Greer began to gain time on Morrison but it just wasn't enough, and Morrison
ended up with the third-place finish.
In the 2SO/SOOcc A class, there was a battle
be tween Tommy Handy, Timmy Mitchell and
Mar k Allman. First off the line was Tommy
Handy, Mark Allman and Timm y MitchelL But
by the first mile, Mitchell had made the pass on
Allman lakin g the second pos ition. By the third
lap, Handy was off to the side getting fuel when
Mitchell came by an d slowed down, calling to
his competitor to come on. When the final lap
came, Handy moved up and made the pass to
claim the win .

In the early years of the CZ World Championship, the anything-goes Modified class was
the top attraction. but wi th the lncreased popularity in vintage racing, the Stock (AHRMAlegal ) division has gained more notice. With a
light turnout of machines this year, Jim Keeton
edged Gary DeForest in the final moto to take
the win. The CZ 400 Stock class went to Carls- .
bad's Tom Schroeder.
