as Langer did the same as he was up 10 third. It was Carman with the win at the flag as Ragaisis and Langer were second and third. Howe recovered for a fourth. whi ch gave him fourth overall. The 250cc Beginner class was another exciting one to watch with 27 riders entered. Tom Kaszubowski and Darryl Torgalslci led the large grou p of riders through the lirst tum. Torgalslci look over the lead on the third lap, as Eric Boss closed up on Kaszubowski to challenge for second. Kaszubowslci dropped out of the lop live, as Boss went inlo second on the last lap. Torgalslci finished first, with Bossin second. Tun McMurter was third. Torgalslci again was at the front of the start of molo two, with Dana Rathbun and McMurter following close behind. Rathbun mo ved by McMurter for the lead while Boss was moving in to the top live from a bad start. First-mote . winner Torga lslciha d dropped out of the top 10. Rathbun took the mo to win, wi th Boss a close second and Brian Sigel in third. Boss 2-2 molo ' scores were good for the overall win . Rathbun flnished second overall with a 4-1 score . Hess handles Blue Ridge #2 Hare Scrambles By Mary Jackson MARTINSVIllE. VA. OCT. 2 Brian Hess d idn't let a loss at the lirst Blue Ridge Hare Scramble, held ea rlier in the season distract him from reclaiming the Virginia Chempionshi p Hare Scrambles Series title once again for the 1994 season after scoring the overall win at the second Blue Ridge race of the season. The win gave Hess the points that he needed to be the champion for the third year in a row. On the third lap, Deel mad e a mistake that took him down and caused him to lose more than two minutes to Hess. But the battle continued between Morrison and Greer for the thirdplace finish. Greer began to gain time on Morrison but it just wasn't enough, and Morrison ended up with the third-place finish. In the 2SO/SOOcc A class, there was a battle be tween Tommy Handy, Timmy Mitchell and Mar k Allman. First off the line was Tommy Handy, Mark Allman and Timm y MitchelL But by the first mile, Mitchell had made the pass on Allman lakin g the second pos ition. By the third lap, Handy was off to the side getting fuel when Mitchell came by an d slowed down, calling to his competitor to come on.
