Brown cooks Muddy Creek MX . By sam Gammon BLOUNTVIl.LE, TN, SEPT. 11 After a two-month break in the Pizza Plus-sponso red MegaSeries. 430 riders con verged on Muddy Creek Raceway for the annual Yamaha Fall Class ic MX where Mike Brown put a smile on his sponsor's face and had the comp etition crying after he com p letely dom inated the Pro racing. The Jim's Motorcycle Sales-sponsored Brown won both the 125 and 250cc classes so decisively that the on ly thing left un deci ded was how the res t of the field wo uld fmish. Kevin Walker, Jim Neese, Cha d Lough, and Natha n Ramsey were the top runners capa ble of earning the runner-up spo t, and the trio ba ttled moto af ter moto. Neese took second in the first 125« Pro mo to after getting off th e ga te in eighth place and blazing a path th rou gh the front-runners. Neese was ru nning close with Brown in the second mota. but on lap two he jumped too far and landed in a rough section, which slowed him some, but not enough to lose a position. With one lap to go, his bike broke and he wa s forced to watch as his positions slipped away. All the while, Lough wa s holding off the advances of Walker and Ramsey for second, but his 5-2 scores would be topped by Walker's 3-3 scores for second overall . Walker gated second both motes of the 250 class but it was Neese on the gas again and into the bridesmaid spo t behind Brown. Walker held onto second in the first moto over Lough. In the seco nd moto, he suffered the crash of the da y, which rung his bell and put him out for the da y. Lough picked up the spot, gi v ing h im third overall for the day ahead of Ramsey. Kawasaki-mounted Phillip Mye rs doubled up a nd to ok th e 125 and 250« B cla sses by storm , but not without a fight . In the 125cc class, Scott Pinson and Tyler Carr kept the pressure on Myers until Pinson went down and handed second place to Ca rr . In the second moto, Myers holeshot but Pinson took the lead on lap three and cruised to the win. Myers finished second for the overall win. In the 250cc B class, Myers had to work his way from a bad sta rt to finis h second in moto one and led moto two all the way for the overall win, beating Carr 's 1-3 score which bested Barnell's 3-2 scores for second overall.
