But King was up to the challenge. Sp ringer was a solid third, and Herndon held off G reg Sims fo r four th , but th ose three were all semi bound. Parker left little in doubt in the second hea t, as he led Andy Tresser and local hero a nd race promoter Ronnie Jones into tum one. "Get out front and hammer," Pa r ker said. I thought I could gain through turns three and four, but overall he was just faster." Rich King put his Garvis Honda in the winner's circle for the first time this year by nabbing third.
