1995 Yamaha YZs and WR250
The new YZ125 (above), lilui the restof the yz
lineup, features many refinements but no really
bigchanges for '95 The exhaust portshave been

reshaped andthe YPVS valve has been relocated
slightly. On the intake sideof things, the aimaxto-carburetor boothas been enlarged and
reshaped for a straighter shotof air, andthe
TMX36 Mlkunl nowhas reduced throttle-valve
clearance for "broadertransition through the
powerband. " Yamaha claims thatthese changes
combine togivetheYZ125 more overall power
andbetter pull from lowto midrange. Suspension-wise the invertedKayaba fork nowIncorpo,
rates a "mldspeed" valve to reduce sinking,
except while cornering. The brakes have a new
padmaterial andthere's a new disc cover for the
front brake. The YZ125 should beavailable in
September. The smallest member of the yz family, the YZSO (right) features twochanges: The fork
now has bothrebound andcompression damping
adjustments, andtheclutch capacity has been
Increasedto improve durability. The Yl80 Is set
to bereleased this month.
