thirty yards to go, it becam e a d rag face to the
checkered . Weber let it all han g out to take the
win in a ph oto finish . A d isappoin ted Woodard
too k se cond , with Dubin, Mike Rowl an d an d
Gibson rou nd ing out the top five posit ions .
A very determined Wooda rd nailed his seco n d ho le shot of th e day to s ta rt mo to two,
p ull ing away to safe lead with Gibso n abo u t a
half- dozen bike len gths back. Dubin had gated
well and was running third, with Terry Terraed ana and Weber in hot purs uit.
The ac tion behind Woodar d beg an to heat
up as Weber doubled his way past Terracciana,
bu t Weber mad e a fata l ju dgeme n t erro r and
went down h a rd coming off th e s te p -dow n
ju mp. He a ttempted to rejoin the race, but then
called it a da y.
Woodard , who had led from the opening
lap, spun his bike in a slick. off-camber com er,
allo win g Gibso n to slip by for the lead and the
win . D u bi n , m e anwh il e, too k adva n ta g e o f

under the white flag to secure the class win by
v irtue of a better seco n d -mo t e sc o re than
Woodard. Third in the class went to Mike Gibson with a 1-5 score.
