Cycles-backed Ky le Farnell . .Fa rnell w as the
high-point winner as well as the 8Scc(7-11) and
Su per Mini class champion. Also winn ing two

the 125 and 250cc B classes .
The Holstein fami ly had an excellent yea r
of raci ng with Mitchell Holstein Sr. winning
the Open Novice class finishing second in the
plus 30. Justin and Robert Ho lstei n finished
first an d second, respectively in the Pee Wee
c1.:lss. Mitchell Holstein Jr . finis hed fourth in
the 65cc (7-11) a nd sixth in th e 85cc (7· 11)
classes.
A Mike Larocco-signe d Jersey wa s gi ven
away as the Sportmanship Award to the BohannonlTruluck family. John Felser was the winner
of the Pro-Ci rcu it Silencer, and Jeff Nei1.:lnder,
who finis hed second in 250cc C and sixth in the
15-24 class , was' the wi nner of the Pro-Ci rcu it
Pipe .

Dustin Nelson closed the seaso n out by again
overshadowing the 125 and 250cc Intermediate
riders at Barona Oaks Raceway, earning top
honors in both classes by winning aU four mo tos
he en tered.
Nelson's close st competition came from
Oscar Ancheta in both cla sse s with Ancheta
earning two second place spots.
Old Pharts Don Connelly an d Chris Swift
heated up the elderl y class . Connelly was
for ced to make up ground in both motos as
Swift holesho t and lead the firs t two laps of
each moto. Connelly was ab le to take the flag,
but had Swift shadowing his every move.
