Rausch was ted no time as he led Single out of
the woods through the horseshoe tum. Just after
Rau sch cleared the finis h-li ne jum p with the
lead. he d umped his RM in the pi t tum. This set
the stage for Single to rail the outside a round
Rausch, retaking the lead as Carrieri moved up
to second with Rauseh remounting to chase after
the lead ers. Carrie ri stayed with Single until the
ha rd-cha rgin g Rausch caug ht up to Carrieri, and
w ith an agressive inside move, was back up to
seco nd . The race ac tion h eated up aga in as
Single and Rau sch drag-raced up the straightaway. With Singl e holding a sligh t ad vantage,
Rauseh pu lled off an awesome finish- line pass to
steal the w in and the overall .
