This set the stage for Single to rail the outside a round Rausch, retaking the lead as Carrieri moved up to second with Rauseh remounting to chase after the lead ers. Carrie ri stayed with Single until the ha rd-cha rgin g Rausch caug ht up to Carrieri, and w ith an agressive inside move, was back up to seco nd . The race ac tion h eated up aga in as Single and Rau sch drag-raced up the straightaway.
