Alon g the wa y, Bailey also brings to the viewers atten. n the little tricks that each rider uses to go .fas ter, and he explains how the viewer can integrate such techniques into his (or her) own riding style. Hond a's Jeremy McGrath and Jeff Stanton, Suz uki' s Brian Swink and Gu y Cooper, Kawasa ki's Mike Kiedrowski an d Mike laRocco, Yamaha's Jeff Emig and Damon Bradsha w, and Jean-Michel Bayle a re am on g th e rid er s fea tu red, and it is in teres ting to see how Bailey rates all of thei r respective riding sty les and points out each rider's faults . Interviews give the viewer a chance to hear each of the pros explain his rid ing style, and it is in teresting to hea r Bailey critique each of them while actio n clips roll. As well as analyzing each racer, Bailey reviews the ' basic skills th at it takes to be a successful motocross racer. Proper training, good p ractice habits an d attitu de conditioning are stressed. As a n ins tru ctional tool, a nd as a form of entertainment, How to Get the Wmning Edge is perhaps the mos t complete package tha t has ever come out of the Videos by Pro fessor Bailey libr ary. H ardly a n y o f th e action footage is shown more than once, making for an in teresting show fro m start to finish. Ba il ey kee p s t he view e r ' s attenti on th roughou t the tape and his voice never becom es monotonous an d boring. The 60-minute tape carries a slightly high suggested retail p rice, but in my opinion, it's well worth it.
