Dealer Inquiries Invited Kevin Krahel nabbed the Expert class win at the Yorkshireman Trial. It was no surprise that Kary Krahel set the fast time on the course, needing only two hours and.l? minutes to finish (he set up the course), but he also nabbed third place from the superconsistent Jay Terry, by one point. Krahel and Terry are the only riders to have ridden in all 15 Drift Creek Dabbers. When asked how he liked the event, Jay Terry replied, "Sections were great; the loop was cool, but a little short." The Yorkshireman, known locally as a very difficult observed trials, was set up by Yorkshireman John Isherwood. The scoring was done in the traditional manner, but all classes ran at once, making it nice for the less-experienced riders, who were able to watch and learn from the advanced riders. Former National-level motocross racer Scott Tyler, a fairly recent convert to trials, continued his steady learning curve, wiI)ning the Advanced class with a light four-point margin over West Hoveland. ' Reformed road racers Mike Given and John Clemens had to worry about a super-smooth Lisa Krahel as well as each other in the Intermediate class, but Given kept his feet on the pegs for his first win ever in observed trials.
