Gorda great at Riverfront MX

MARYSVILLE. CA, APR. 10
Mike Gorda Jr. put it all together to score his
first SOcc victory of the year at Marysville's
Riverfront Park motocross track. Gorda displayed determination and great passing slci1Js in
route to a perfect 1-1 score.
In the first 80cc moto, first-time racer
Brandon Gonzales started his racing career
boldly, battling side-by-side with Gorda and
Robert Gomes for the lead. Gorda's luck took a
bad turn, as he fell during the lUst lap.
"I hit a jump in the back too fas~ and lost it
in the following comer: saxl Gorda. "My foot
was caught under the bike, too."
Gorda was able to crawl out from under his
bike and restart in last place.
Meanwhile, Gonzales had wrestled the lead
