leaving the other riders to deal with the
mud. Tom Conner earned the +35 class
win, with Kelly Parker second.
In the 85cc (14-15) class heat race,
American Suzuki/Arlington Suzuki/
M.W. White/Pro Circuit-backed
Charley Bogard led off the start, with
Chris Torrance and Ron Arney behind.
Arney got by Torrance a set of jumps for
second, while Bogard blasted ahead,
taking the whoops like a pro. Cody
Francis used some aggressive moves on
Torrance to set up a pass, but slipped in
a turn and went down. Arney and
Torrance battled for second, and Arney
took an inside line in a sweeper to steal
the position. Torrance blasted back by,
though, and Arney was soon passed by
Allen Davis for third.
The main event was almost a repeat
of the heat race, as Bogard kept it on
two wheels in front, while Torrance battled back and forth with Francis and
Davis for second. Bogard won ahead of
Torrance and Francis.
Mark Landry holeshot the +25 heat
race. Kyle Parks reeled in Landry until
he made a slight miscue in a left-hander
giving Landry the lead for good. Parks
finished up in second.
The 85 (7-11) division blasted out of
gate in their heat, with Kevin Johnson,
Scqtty Trimble and Beau Boynton in a
three-way battle for the lead. Boynton
took the lead on the back straight and
charged ahead, but slipped out and John
Adam passed for the lead. Riders
slipped and crashed all over the muddy
track, but Boynton kept it on two wheels
and worked back into the lead for the
win.
Johnson grabbed the holeshot in the
main with Boynton second and Trimble
third. Johnson pulled off the track
halfway through, giving the lead to
Boynton. Mike Royer survived to claim
second.
The combined 12Sec A/B main event
saw Brad Woolsey snare the holeshot
with Allen Crick and Mike Boliver in
tow. David Pingree rode up to challenge
the trio in the first tum, and Crick took
over the lead with Pingree and Woolsey
just behind. Pingree slipped up next to
Crick and pulled into the point position,
while Crick rode ir\ second overall and
first in the B class. Pingree slowly pulled
away to the A class win, and Woolsey
topped the B division.
American Suzuki/Dago Racingbackled Jacob Martin grabbed the
holeshot in the 85cc (12-13) heat. Keith
Johnson looked smooth into the endzone jumps, but got sideways in the exit
sweeper. Martin survived a fall to score
thewin.
In the main, Martin again nabbed the
holeshot, while Brandon Nichols gassed
it a little too hard and did a big wheelie
off the start. Martin set a substantial
lead, with Johnson and Nathan Lane
behind him. Martin won the race in his
(12-13) class debut ride.
