Greg Schnell controlled the Intermediate division, winning the 125 and 250cc classes. Mark Higham (282) diced with Chris Wheeler (58) and Bob Pbillips (4). Wheeler won three of the four motos in the 125 and 250cc Novice divisions, scoring both overall wins. Aussie Peter Melton (896), seen here chasing Brian Manley, was fourth 250cc Pro. Craig Decker (141) passes Chris Young in the 250cc class. Young finished third overall. ing the leaders, and was looking for a way around. Schnell found a line after a set of double jumps, and he passed both Kadyand Cory to take over the lead. Schnell pulled away for the win, while Kady l()st ground to Malan, who eventually finished second. Early race leader Cory slipped backwards to fifth in front of Anderson. Chris Radzinski holeshot the second moto and led for the opening lap, but Anderson was on the move and outjumped Radzinski when h'el>ogged' before the launch ramp. Schnell quickly caught Radzinski and the two riders battled over second for the next three laps, while the leading Anderson put a 1D-second advantage on the pack. With three laps remaining, Schnell finally made the move on Radzinski and began to reel in Anderson. Although Schnell did make up a substantial amount of time, he could not get within striking distance of Anderson, who handily won the moto. Radzinski had problems just 200 feet before the checkers. "My chain broke, so I had to push the bike over the doubles and up to the finish line," said Radzinski, who finished a disappointing 12th place. Malan collected third place and was followed across ilie line by· Yearsley arid Kady. . Schnell also topped the 125cc Intermediate class over Kady, who post- ed a pair of runner-up finishes. Yearsley continued to show improvement by finishing a consistent third in front of Malan and Fretwell. Chris Wheeler was king of the Novice class, as he swept three out of four motos in the 125 and 250cc Novice divisions. Wheeler was untouchable in the 250cc Novice class, where he stormed away for a double-moto sweep over Mark Higham, Bob Phillips and Eddie Staab. Wheeler did nearly the same thing in the first 125cc Novice class moto, but his win streak was unraveled in the second 125cc Novice moto by the smooth riding of Mike Davis, who won the moto. Eric Schnell put in a fine ride for second, but it was Wheeler who posted the overall win with a more consistent c:N set of finishes. Results FIRST TIMER [)'1: 1. 0Iris BI""" (Yam); 2.
