Suzuki-mounted Mike Kirar was the hot rider in the 125cc Novice class as he blazed to both moto wins for the overall, while Kawasakiace Johnny Cipolinna combined. two secondplace finishes for second overall. Opolinna gave a strong challenge in moto two as he battled with Kirar late in the race. but Kirar would not be denied his victory this day. David Lodermier salvaged a sixth in the first go-round and then looked much better in the final as he stayed up with the leaders and finished third and third overall. A 5-4 tally earned Honda-mounted Jimmy Totten fourth overall while Greg Ohlsen scored a fourth and a fifth on his Kawasaki to round out the top five overalL There was no stopping Dale Hansen and his Honda as he smoked off both Vet Expert wins for the overall. with Casey Farrell powering his Kawasaki to second each time for second overalL Kawasaki-mounted Ron Junkert was third overall with a 3-3 score. Doug Johnson battled Husky-mounted Colin MacDonald both motos of the Vet Intermediate class and was able to put his Kawasaki into the lead each time to secure both wins and the overall. MacDonald held on for second in both motos for the same overall. with third overall going to Honda-mounted Mark Lagomarsino with a 3-4 tally. The Vet Novice win went to Honda-mount· ed Ronald DiBasilio as he won both motos, while Steve Swisher and Yamaha-mounted Scott Rabeneau traded second and third. Swisher scored second overall with the better finish in the final moto. Eric Liddell roosted his Kawasaki to both Up The Hill Junior class moto wins to take the overall ahead of fellow Kawasaki rider Jimmy Pierce, with Tony Lamperti capturing third overall.
