Ron Dozier breeze.d to a win in th.e
Sportsman class by turning in the only clean
loop of the day.
Dozier, riding his son's Yamaha TY350,
scored a "five" on the first section of the day and
then didn't dab again until the fourth section on
the last lap. He beat George Poe, who was
debuting the 1993 Beta Gara. by six points.
Brad McClellan. showing that his ATA and
PTC Championship Series titles were not a
fluke, scored a convincing win over Dennis
Thompson in the Intermediate class.
Thompson, riding a newly acquired Gas-Gas
GT-25, was a surprise as he bested a throng of
more experienced Intermediates.
Kent Graham came from behind on his
Aprilla Climber to win in the Advanced class,
topping Larry Varnell, 3349. Graham turned in
the only single-digit loop card in the class on his
final cireuitto clinch the top spot

Hebb sweeps Cedar Rapids ST

With the support of a rowdy crowd. David
Hebb notched the Open Pro class wins on both
Friday and Saturday at the Cedar Rapids Short
Track in Five Seasons Center.
The race was heJd in conjunction with the
monster truclc. show that was promoted by
MotorSports of America.
On Friday, Hebb started on the pole position
and ran away from the pack to easily win the U-
lap main event. Dale jenneman came from the
middle of the pack to pass ReciJ Hart and secure
second place near the end of the race.
In Saturday's race, Hebb started on the front
row and jetted to the front, where he remained
to the finish. Hart followed closely to nab second place, while Thomas Colson came from the
back of the pack to place third
