"After I repassed Highland, the bike was running okay," said Pocorobba. Then in the back, the bike just died on me. I just sat there for a moment, thinking. I looked below the bike, and saw gas running out of the carb." Eventually, Pocorobba was able to free his stuck float. He rejoined the race near last place, but worked his "'1ay up to 14th. At the finish, Highland scored the win, with Johnson a close second and Michael York taking third. Pocorobba came back to win the second moto, but it was Johnson who earned top honors for the day via his consistent 2-2 finishes. The weekend also proved fruitful for 80cc rider Justin Buckelew.
