The hill was 300 feet long, with a j ump a t the 40-foo t mark. After th e j u m p, it flat tene d o u t until th e 50-foot mark, th en turned up steep ly for th e rest o f th e ru n. Official s set th e timing ligh ts a t 280 feet. hoping to a llow th e riders to put th e pow er down before clea ring the top.
