Greg Sims was fourth and Brian Villella finished last with a mi sfiring engine. The Junior heats were won by James H a rt , Brent Armbruster and J es s Roeder. Hart ear ned the pole position in the main wi th a wi nning heat race time over [our seconds faster than Roeder 's heat. At the start of th e J u ni or main, J ames Hart and Rodn ey Mash ue went into the first turn toge ther. H ar t had a distinct adva ntage over Mash ue, who had ben t the valves in h is regu lar mount and was o n an unfam il iar bike borrowed fro m Gordy Schoperay. Fami liar or not, the ri der/ bi ke combinati on was good eno ug h for second p lace behind H art. One of the best races of th e evening was for th ird. between Ro y H art, J ess Roeder, Brent Armbruster and Bob Miller. Roeder muscled into third with Hart, Armbrus ter and Miller in hi s spray. For J am es Hart , the long wai t was worth it. " Actua lly, the track was better than it was before, there was lo ts of trac tio n," sa id Hart. T he Pro-Am hea ts were won by J esu s Crawford, David Lesniak, Charles Buchan an a nd Chad Groescup. Bucha nan 's hea t time put him on the pole for the main. The even i n g 's last main event required five restarts, as the Pro-Am riders had wat ched the Experts and the Juniors ride on the difficult surface with apparent ease. That was som ething that not all o f them could accomplish, though . and th ere were fo ur red flags du e to crashes. The last incident brought out the ambulances and the decision to payoff according to the start ing position s was made.
