; INTHEWIND~~_aw_~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~_ Wayne Curtin has been nam ed to fill th e po sit io n of individua l membership tru stee fro m the No rtheast region on the 12-seat AMA board of trustees. Curtin fill s the seat left vacant by th e impeachment of Pau l Schl egel earlier this year. A resident of Washington. D.C.. Curtin is an AMA Life Member who serves as Washington lobbyist for the Motorcycle Riders Foundation, a motor cyclists rights organization. An activ e motorcyclist since 1976. Curtin previousl y served as a volunteer state lobbyist in J efferson City , Missouri, before 'moving to the nation 's capitol in 1986. Curtin, a Navy veteran . received his AMA hoard ap pointment based in part on his recent runner-up fin ish in AMA regional trustee electio ns. His term will run through 1994. and three-ti me Nati on a l Enduro Champion Randy Hawkins (Suz). Steve Colley (Bet). a 19-year-old rider from the Isle of Man , won the May 4-9 Scottish Six D a y s Trial in Scotland. Co lley is believed to be the you ngest-ever winner of the prestigious event. H is victory came in a very difficu lt tria l with rain and cold wind ham perin g the riders every day. J o h n S hirt (G-G )and John Lampkin (Bet) finished in a tie for second with 94 marks apiece, 24 behind Colley's winning 68. The earliest solo clean was the tie-breaker and that came for Shirt o n the opening da y of the trial in section seven. Both Shirt and Lampkin had earlier picked up a mark apiece in the third section. after cleaning the first two . They both cleaned the next three sectio ns. but while Shirt cleaned section seven . Lampkin dabbed once. Wagoner Cycle W o r ks of Tucker. Georgia; will host Suzuki Power Sports Day on Saturday. June 6. Team Suzuki 's Ezra Lusk will be making an appeara nce at the shop. whi ch is located northeast of Atlanta . along with stars from the four-wheeled world of racing .
