Mealer held a comfortable lead on Lojak at th e fin ish , who nonetheless became the first rider to clinch a class titl e in th e 1991 GNCC Series. In the junier class, Ohio 's own Eric Davis led a Yamaha sweep of th e top five positions. Pennsylvartians David Molnar, Dave Santi and John Vin cen t all finished within a minute of one another but four minutes behind th e leader. North Carolina's Buren Hamrick placed fifth . Rick Kresic survived ano ther ra celong attack by Vet class rivals Tom Harris and Je££ Murgel to score the victory and move a step closer to his second-straight GNCC class title. Kresic split from Harris late in the race and won by two minutes. Murgel fin ished second wh ile Harris was beset by bike problems in the late going. Louis Dearm an and Eric Houck carried th e Ohio flag to the top of the Open B class. The two KTM riders were mo re than seven minutes ahead of third-place Douglas Miller, a Kawasaki rider from Connecticut, Dua ne Sprouse guided his Suzuki to the 250cc B class win, two minutes ahead of series regulars Vance Carl and Richard Bryan.
