Montgomery Short Track victory to Triplett By Jack Hanson MONTGOMERY, MN, AUG. 10 Randy Tripleu passed six riders in eight laps to ca p tu re th e 600cc Pr o-Am eve n t at th e fifth mil e Montgomery dirt ova l. . In accordance with Go p her Racing 's Pro Am sta rting p rocedur e. the professiona ls were li ned up at the co rner (our exit, ab out 50 yards beh ind the a ma teur field. Triplett jumped Do ug Obert at the start, ca ug ht fourth-place Mike T erho o n lap five, passed Marty Krenz (or th ird o n lap six and blew by Norb Gregory a nd Eri c Brou ch ard o n the next lap to wi n.
