eLOCAL EVENTS ~ ~ Class C action saw a see-saw battle between Beno Rodi on his Royal Enfield 500 and Steve Coe's 750cc Harley-Davidso n. Beno led laps one through three, bu t was passed by Coe on the fourth lap. Beno recovered to take over the lead spot again, and this time he held it to the nag. The black and blue award of the day certainly had to go to AI Otarles. Charles highsided h is Ducati in the Pro Twins G P2 event earl ier in the day and was take n by ambulance to the track's medical center. He returned, bruised back and all, 10 race in the Harl~-Davidson Twin SJ"'rt event before fini shmg second on his Triump h Triple later in the day in the 750cc G P class. Results 7SO ~P : 1. Kun. Kevin Hantz led the sta rt of moto two with Ulshafer on h is tail. O n the third lap, Ulshafer tried to pass Ha nu in the stadium rockers , but both riders ta ngled in the next com er.
