(Above) Honda has completely revamped the CR250 for 1992.
An all-new compac t engine is both lighter and smaller than
the previous model and features an all-new, lower-maintenance
power valve system with 50%fewer parts than before. The frame
is narrower and lighter, while the suspension has been changed
at both ends. The front Showa forks feature a triple-taper design
and now have both rebound and compression damping
adjustments, while the rea r Showa shock has a larger body,
plus the suspension linkage ratios have been revised. (Left)
The CRI 25 doesn 't have the radical changes like the CR250,
but a new nat-top piston and redesigned combustion chamber
is claimed to give a one-horsepower increase over the' 91 model.
It also gets the new 43mm triple-taper fork and revised rear
shock settings.
