today's 600cc Supersport fina l as
he managed to sneak around riders
who crashed in front of him to win
hi s fifth 600cc race of the season.

avoided the wreckag e, Kipp emerged
from the fraca s unhurt, and suddenly

was all over DuHamel.
"T here's a bump or crack right there
and you're on the brakes rea l hard."
Kipp exp lained. " Yo u have to let off
the brakes and th en get back on them.
I guess I didn 't let up o n them eno ugh
and it went away."
Crevier took the lead on the seventh
Honda Suzuki North-sponsored Doug
Carmichael fini sh ed fourt h and fifth
o n their Honda CBR600s.

standings with 55 points .
" T ha t's racing," Du H amel said.
"T hose guys were going fast, I had two
close call s. I almost hit T om's (Kipp )
bike and Crevier was even closer.
Crevier must have had better gearing;
I'd get him on the brakes, but he could
pull me o ut of the corners. Whe n he
crashed, I saw him go sideways and
I lifted it up and went right, I thought,
'This might get ug ly.' Before that. . I
had a warm-up with Tom (Kipp )."
The two riders used Dunlop tires
while Koyam a 's Honda was fitted with
Bridgestones.
Notably missing from the action was
Two Bro thers Raci ng 's J eff Farmer.

on Thursday and destroyed the motorcycle; an air shipment of parts from
California didn 't include a swingarm
and the team ran out of time in getting
th e bike rebuilt, according to team

a 13.244-second win over the Van ce &
Hines Yamaha of Larry Schw arzbac h.
