Wayne Rainey pulled off his first
victory of the season in the
Australian Grand Prix at Eastern
Creek. Eliminating the competition's attempt to take the GP for
a third consecutive time.
Right from the sta rt, Rainey
shot off like a flare to take
the lead against the competition.
While on the 11th lap, he set a
new track record with a time of
one -minute, 31.455 seconds.
From then on it was all downhill
. as he held onto his position to
take the 500cc class.
