In mot o two , Mike Brown sto le th e sh ow , Lusk crashed a nd Ferry wrapped up the day 's overa ll. Ferry said, " We had a great team effo rt going th is week. My mecha nic Will ie Manning did a great job on th e bike a nd Bob by Barr worked over th e suspe nsion." Rand y and Renee Yoho of Dade City Ra cewa y hosted 438 riders as th e 21st edition o f t h e A MA sa nc tio ned , Wor ldfiports organized series passed the halfway mark. Dade City Motorcycle Racewa y runs a supercross forma t under the lights every Sat urday ni ght and th e co urse is extended to the back secti on for th e Winter AMA a nd Gold Cup Series even ts. Tons o f clay was added to th e co urse, as well as lots of new whoops and jumps. The giant tabletop lofted riders 20 feet in th e ai r over a distance of 80 feet and provided a thri lling sig h t for the specta to rs. transition from clay o n th e upper section to sandy soil o n th e lo wer cha llenged rid er versatility and made for inte resting racin g, Lusk rip ped th e o pe ning l 25cc Pro ho lesh ot a nd roo sted th e field all th e wa y to th e checkered flag as Ferry , Barry Carsten, Carl Vailla ncourt, Mich ael Treadwell a nd john Dowd foug ht for second. Ferr y held second u n ti l Dowd pass ed o n la p 12. Dowd exp la ined, " I a m riding both class es tod a y. I hope I can make it through four motos." Lusk said, " My dad was telli ng me o n th e board tha t Dowd was co m ing. I tri ed to maintain my lead and it worked." Mik e Bro wn flew in from th e pr evious nigh t's Ho uston Su pe rcross, m issed the first moto but mad e up for it in mo to two. Brown sta lked Lusk for two la ps before making his charge and on lap th ree he took over the po int for good. Bro wn sa id , " I was tired from flyin g. I had a 15-second lead, but I knew that both Lusk a nd Ferry were back there." L usk crashed out of seco nd a nd retired with only th ree laps to go. Ferry co m ment ed, " Ezra fell a nd I expected him to come bac k, b ut I never saw him. Brow n was ge lli ng tired, but I ra n out of tim e. I d idn' t ha ve to beat hi m for the overa ll.
