Chuck Greer (26) grabbed the holeshot ah ead of Craig Johnson (71) and winner Bo Shannon (470) in the l25cc B.class. But in the second mota , Neeley didn 't have it as easy. J ames Wa llace and Steve Starnes beat Neeley to the first comer a t the start. Wh ile Wallace led the freight train of riders , Neeley mo ved into second and began press u ri ng Wallace. Neeley ho unded Wa llace for a wh ile than passed h im over th e doubles, wh en Wallace was momentaril y slowed by a lapped rider. Bu t the race was n' t over yet. Neeley had hi s own problems with a slower rider, wh ich left the door wid e open for Wallace. Wallace sho t by Neeley to retake the lead, and it was now a sho wdo wn to the fin ish. Neeley searched and searched for a fast li ne aro u nd Wallace, but tim e ran ou t for Neeley - who was aimi ng for h is fourt h mo ta win of th e da y - as Wallace crossed the fin ish line out in fro nt . Starnes finished third, wh ile J oe y Do r sett a n d Da vid Staffo rd ro unded ou t the top five. Chad Pitt rod e flaw lessly in the 125cc C class by win ning both motos. Pitt, however, was pressured in both o u tings whi le Ned Blackwelder locked up seco nd overall , ahead of J ohn Urban, Peter Howell and J ason Mino r. Jeff Mushal a took the overall win in the 250cc B class , desp ite losin g the first mota to T ilden Styron and Benj i Rutledge. In the deciding second mota, Mus ha la nailed th e holeshot and led wire to wire over Rutledge, who landed runner-up hon ors. T h ird overall went to Tony Lee, followed by Ronnie Yarb ro and Styro n. l:N Kawasaki rider Robby Neeley (Ill ) won the 25-Plus class, with a flawless I-I tally, and finished second in the Senior class , with a 1·2 showing. You make more than just a fashion statement when you get dressed to ride a motorcycle. Y ou make a statement about safe riding practices.
